Side by side

What exists today, and what this adds.

Their site today

The current site routes Order Now to ChowNow, also names DoorDash, says pickup happens inside the Uptown food hall, directs large orders and catering to a call path, and notes that confirmed orders cannot be altered.

This concept

Order straight from Colton’s — pick your heat, add allergy notes, and the fry line gets it exactly as you said it. Pickup shows where to go inside the Uptown food hall and when it will be hot on the counter. Large orders get a real follow-up instead of a phone note, regulars earn something for coming back, and shift cover is one approval instead of a group text.

What the concept adds

One tap, three screens.

Keep the guest inside Colton’s from menu to confirmation. A location-aware ordering path makes the restaurant, pickup instructions, and next step legible before a guest is sent elsewhere.

Customer journey

Four moves, no dead end.

01

Choose the right path

A diner sees Colton’s menu, pickup, dine-in, and delivery choices in one branded starting point.

02

Build the order once

Heat, side choices, allergy notes, and pickup timing are confirmed before the order is sent.

03

Run the handoff

The line receives a clean timed ticket; the counter sees ready status; the diner gets a clear pickup moment.

04

Bring the guest back

A completed order can lead into restaurant-owned rewards and a direct next visit instead of another marketplace search.

Scope and honesty

What a first build would and would not do.

It does

  • Design a private multi-screen demo for diner, counter, fry line, and owner workflows.
  • Structure a confirmed menu, heat choices, allergy/preparation notes, and pickup or dine-in order states.
  • Include a controlled demo of catering enquiry follow-up, rewards, time-off, and shift-cover approval.
  • Document the approved first workflow and handoff rules before any production build.

It does not

  • Does not replace ChowNow, DoorDash, payments, POS, payroll, or delivery services in the first build.
  • Does not publish a menu, accept a live payment, or send a real customer message.
  • Does not claim current inventory, sales, staffing, customer, or order data.
  • Does not connect to existing systems until access, ownership, security, and cutover are explicitly approved.

Build tonight’s order

The step their site does not offer today.

This form is part of the concept. It does not send anything to the business.

Request received

In the real build this lands with the team the moment it’s sent — the details attached, so the callback is short and nobody retypes anything.
